WHAT IS THE GRAMPIANS PEAKS TRAIL?
The Grampians Peaks Trail is a world-class, 160km hike, starting in the north of the Grampians National Park (Gariwerd) and ending in the south. It takes 13 days and 12 nights to complete the whole trail, with stops at unique walk-in campsites along the way.
Hikers will experience the magic of the mountain range the Djab Wurrung and Jardwadjali people have called home for thousands of years. The trail takes hikers through varied vegetation, from low lying wetlands and fern gullies to woodlands and rock escarpments.
The Grampians (Gariwerd) are famous for its multicoloured sunsets and starry night skies, plus its endemic flora. It’s an amazing experience and challenge for those that love nature.
